T. M. Kelley Studios

Teressa Kelley was born and raised in Oklahoma City. From her first brush stroke on canvas at age twelve, she knew she was destined to be an artist. During the remainder of her adolescence, she received expert training and guidance from teacher and mentor Nick Kyle, along with other fine artists who gave her advice and insight, putting her firmly on a path towards being a successful artist.

Teressa has received several awards over the years in student competitions and has presented exhibitions at venues such as the Paseo Arts Festival as a student grouping and appeared on television programs including ‘Gallery’ when she was promoting up and coming student artists in Oklahoma.

With those accomplishments and experiences under her belt, Teressa moved to Illinois in 1995 and attended the Art Institute of Chicago. Pressure to adapt her artistic style to suit the tastes of her instructors and classmates prompted her to withdraw from the school and take a five-year hiatus from artistic endeavors, as she reevaluated her past successes and her vision of the future.

Teressa returned to Oklahoma City and earned an Associates degree in art from Oklahoma City Community College in 2004, and has since transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma to complete a Bachelors degree in painting. She enjoys painting with oil on canvas, and is focusing her efforts on magnified realism, as she completes a series of painting depicting delicate yet striking flowers.

Teressa lives in Oklahoma City with husband and four children. When not creating artwork, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and music.
